This Open-Source Two-Wheeler Aims to Encourage Innovation

A team of engineers and innovators working out of the Electric Vehicle Team over at MIT have unveiled a hydrogen motorcycle that makes use of fuel cell technologies in order to achieve eco-friendly yet high-performance motoring in the two-wheeler format.

Built atop and around a Ducati Supersport, this particular hydrogen motorbike has been bestowed with an electric powertrain, with the added hydrogen mechanism receiving energy through a fuel cell that is in turn juiced up by a gas cylinder.

While this bike may not score highly on the aesthetic front, that's because it is first and foremost a research motorbike, which it's why it's designed with easily swappable components in order to encourage further tweaking by open-source enthusiasts.
