Amazfit Launched Its Helio Strap Pro for HYROX Athletes

Amazfit introduced the 'Helio Strap Pro,' a body-worn training system that combines upper-arm heart rate sensing with a waist-mounted motion sensor. Designed for HYROX and hybrid training athletes, the system captures core movement and stability alongside cardiovascular effort, offering a more complete performance picture than wrist-based tracking alone.

Compatible with the Amazfit Balance 3 and Balance Ultra smartwatches, the Helio Strap Pro tracks performance across all eight HYROX competition movements, including SkiErg, sled push and wall balls, and syncs data with the Zepp App for post-workout analysis. The screen-free waist sensor offers up to 40 days of battery life and can operate independently of a smartwatch. The full system launches in late June 2026 for $199.99.

Amazfit shows how wearable technology is evolving beyond heart rate monitoring to capture a broader range of movement and performance data for serious athletes.

Trend Themes

  1. Multi-sensor Athletic Wearables — Body-worn sensor bundles create richer training profiles by combining cardiovascular, stability, and movement data beyond what wrist-based devices can capture.
  2. Sport-specific Performance Tracking — Hybrid fitness formats are accelerating demand for wearables that map directly to competition movements, enabling more precise benchmarking and recovery insights.
  3. Screen-free Training Devices — Minimalist sensors with long battery life expand wearable use cases for athletes who need unobtrusive monitoring during high-intensity, equipment-based workouts.

Industry Implications

  1. Wearable Technology — Advanced sensor placement introduces new product categories that specialize in biomechanical intelligence rather than general wellness tracking.
  2. Fitness Equipment — Connected training ecosystems gain value when machines, movements, and body-worn sensors produce integrated performance data for competitive athletes.
  3. Sports Analytics — Granular motion and heart-rate datasets support deeper performance modeling for coaches, gyms, and athletic platforms serving hybrid competition communities.
