Eve Systems Presents New Hardware Updates to its Device

The Matter standard now has the support of its first smart home device in the form of Eve Systems. It updates the current Eve Energy plug along with two sensors. It also updates the Eve Door and Window as well as Eve Motion to support Matter. The firmware allows the hardware to speak to any other controller that is able to support the new technology.

This includes programs such as the SmartThings app by Samsung and the upcoming features supported by Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Currently, the update requires unofficial iOS and iPadOS 16.2 upgrades yet to arrive. Products that are capable to support Matter are set to launch within the first quarter of 2023 along with an Android iteration of Eve's app.
