The DJI Romo Robot Vacuum Enters the Home Cleaning Market

The DJI Romo Robot Vacuum enters the home cleaning market with a transparent outer shell that reveals internal components. The vacuum uses dual fisheye vision sensors, wide-angle solid-state LiDAR, and machine-learning navigation for obstacle detection down to 2 mm. It offers up to 25,000 Pa suction power, dual anti-tangle roller brushes, extendable side brushes, and spinning mop pads that automatically lift when moving over carpet. The flagship Romo P pairs the transparent robot with a self-cleaning dock that empties debris, washes and dries mop pads, and refills water automatically.

The docking station is also transparent and shows debris containers and clean/dirty water tanks. The vacuum supports multiple cleaning modes (vacuum, mop, vacuum-then-mop) and comes with a mobile app for map control and cleaning scheduling. The Romo series is currently launching in Europe and China, with rollout expected later in 2025.
