Ducati Unveils the DesertX, an Off-Roader Inspired by '80s Enduros

Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has unveiled the Ducati DesertX, a powerful off-road motorcycle with a design inspired by the Enduro bikes of the 1980s.

The Ducati Desert X comes equipped with a robust design ready to tackle off-road terrain. Because of this, the two-wheeler features a new steel trellis frame, an upside-down Kayaba fork, and Kayaba mono-shock, and Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires with asymmetrically sized wheels -- 18" wheels have been installed at the rear and 21" wheels at the front.

In terms of power, the new motorbike features a 937cc, 110 hp liquid-cooled Testastretta engine with a 5.54-gallon fuel tank, which was specifically upgraded so that drivers could take on longer desert journeys. In addition, the new engine is much lighter than Ducati's previous model, weighing just 3.7 pounds.
