Fashion retailer H&M has announced that it will be launching 'Creator Studio,' an all-new B2B platform and service designed for creators in the merchandise industry. Key to the new platform will be on-demand printing services.
According to the company, 'Creator Studio' was developed to satisfy the recent desire of customers and businesses for greater flexibility, personalization, and choice in terms of custom-made clothing and other retail goods. In addition, H&M recognized that the fashion space was heading towards more personalized business models, as evident by the rise of on-demand services such as Weekday's bespoke jean offering, which utilizes 3D printing technology.
A recent press released states that with 'Creator Studio,' the company looks "to create a new standard for merchandise through technology." H&M plans to team up with a few select brands and creators to scale the new platform to offer unique, personalized shopping experiences.
