Miray Özlem ER's Cocoon Chair is Inspired by Metamorphosis

The new Cocoon chair designed by Miray Özlem ER is a unique furniture piece that is designed with inspiration drawn from the transformation or rebirth metamorphosis of a butterfly. Caterpillars undergo a process of renewal when going through the experience and this serves as the influence as the chair's form is designed to comfortably wrap around the user's body.

This is meant to resemble the protective cocoon layer that provides warmth and comfort. It has a knitted area where users are to sit down and the structure is supported by wooden materials. It has a free-flow shape and the knitted area is meant to represent the silk balls that are made up of the cocoon of a butterfly.
