Cove biodegradable water bottles have been created as a sustainable alternative to plastic versions to help consumers choose a more sustainable option. The water bottles will be launching at Erewhon locations in the Los Angeles area starting on December 1, 2022 and have been under development for almost four years. The bottle is crafted out of pHA, which is a natural, nontoxic material that will naturally break down when exposed to microorganisms in the natural environment.
Founder and CEO of Cove Alex Totterman spoke on the launch of the Cove biodegradable water bottles saying, "Cove entering retail is a significant milestone for the company and it was important for us to find a mission-aligned retail partner to debut Cove. We’ve found that in Erewhon and are excited to take a big step forward in our mission to create a sustainable material world."
