Wild Turkey Austin Nichols Archives Edition Bourbon Is Launched

Campari Group-owned Wild Turkey launched the Austin Nichols Archives Collection, a new annual limited-edition series curated by associate master blender Bruce Russell that revisits notable releases from the brand’s history. The inaugural expression, Gold Foil Edition, is a 16-year-old Kentucky straight Bourbon bottled at 60% ABV and inspired by the sought-after "Cheesy Gold Foil" bottlings produced during the 1980s and 1990s.

The whiskey was created using barrels from Wild Turkey’s F, D and E rickhouses at Camp Nelson and employs extended ageing and higher proof to recreate the mature oak, dark fruit and distinctive character associated with Bourbons from that era. The release is packaged in a vintage-inspired canister with gold-foil detailing, an archival-style label and a hidden Easter egg unique to the series.

Available in limited quantities for a suggested retail price of US$400, Gold Foil Edition offers enthusiasts a modern interpretation of a celebrated historical profile.
