They also include things like Action Deafness Tech's bookstore and publishing project.

I once heard someone say that a book was the oldest form of social innovation and while the person said it in a way to insight discussion and the claim is of course highly arguable, I think there's something to be said about a book as a social object and what's more, about book-related social innovations having the capability to create change in some capacity or another.
