Stores Made of Scissors

Cutting-Edge 'Emporio Mall' in New Delhi

The unusual images you see in the gallery above aren't from an art gallery, although they may as well be; these photographs are of the 'Emporio Mall,' a store in New Delhi, India, which is made almost entirely of scissors. There are scissor doors, windows, hangers, and walls. In place of portraits or paintings, 'Emporio Mall' has sculptures made from pairs of scissors.

The 'Emporio Mall' is named for designer Rajesh Pratap Singh. According to Nylon, Singh "works extensively with Indian fabric mills to promote his national textiles and style."
