28 Banned Ads, Products and People

Finding out that something has been banned often raises its allure; for that reason, advertisement and commercials that have been rejected from airing on public TV, appearing on billboards, magazines, or general marketing approaches considered too risque for a product can often get even more buzz than the campaigns that do make it.

In fact, we've seen a flurry of ads so shocking, some o four writers have speculated that they may have been designed to be rejected in order to create hefty buzz on a budget; after all, a huge part of advertising costs lie in having something aired or published.

The internet makes it possible for us to see these ads that in the past would likely have remained unseen outside of their creative agencies. That being said, be prepared to be shocked and amused!
