The animal rights organization PETA got a super raunchy TV ad banned by the National Broadcasting Corporation or NBC.

The racy advert features a bevy of naked and semi-naked women strongly promoting the virtues of a vegetable-rich diet. It was supposed to air at the upcoming Super Bowl on Sunday, but now the only place it will show is on the web.

This is the list of NBC’s reasons for banning the highly spicy ad:

* licking pumpkin

* touching her breast with her hand while eating broccoli

* pumpkin from behind between legs

* rubbing pelvic region with pumpkin

* screwing herself with broccoli (fuzzy)

* asparagus on her lap appearing as if it is ready to be inserted into vagina

* licking eggplant

* rubbing asparagus on breast

Apparently, NBC has something against girls who love their veggies. After we submitted our proposed Super Bowl ad, which features a comely crop of models demonstrating their fondness for fresh produce, NBC nixed the ad, saying it "depicts a level of sexuality exceeding our standards." I couldn't believe this when I saw it. Imagine some impressionable young girl who was toying with becoming vegetarian saw this... "That's what vegetarians do?" Or the horror when they realize their mom must do this because she is vegetarian. I think it's good it was banned.

Conspiracy theory: PETA wanted the publicity without paying the big bucks for an expensive Super Bowl ad, so they made an ad that is clearly inappropriate so that it'd get banned. Then they get the buzz from being banned, without having to pay for the ad!
