Woman Marries Dead Corpse

Giving a whole new meaning to the corpse bride, a woman insisted on marrying her fiance even though he was dead after falling down a well. To ensure her wish came true, the bride would not release the body for cremation until after they were ‘married’.

The woman dressed as a bride for the ‘happy’ occasion, to which her parents also attended. And it was only a few moments after the ceremony before the woman got changed into an outfit more suitable for a greiving widow. Her husband might be dead, but the bride did not miss out on any presents and was was given gifts of clothes and utensils, as according to Hindu Tradition.
