Global Esports Team 'Wolves Esports' Partners with AstroPay

Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club has established a relationship with AstroPay. The deal has implications for Wolves Esports, the club's competitive gaming division. AstroPay will become Wolves' new primary business partner, as well as the football club's. Wolves will also use AstroPay's logo in official publications, on its website, and on social media.

Wolves entered the esports market in 2018 and have since created rosters for FIFA, Rocket League, and sim-racing, as well as collaborating with Fortnite and other major esports initiatives. This partnership is notable as Astropay aims to extend into the esports and gaming sector.

Russell Jones, GM for Marketing and Commercial Growth, at Wolves, said: “As a forward-thinking and fast-growing brand, we know AstroPay has enjoyed the exposure and reach that the Premier League brings. Their progressive attitude and ambitious growth plans have seen them win significant market share in both Asia and Latin America – two areas where Wolves has developed a strong following but also harbors extensive growth ambitions for 2022/23.”
