Goodby, Silverstein and Partners recently put together a series of five ads for the Volkswagen Golf R32 that elegantly and humorously demonstrate the compact appeal of the German car giant.
When it comes to fuel efficiency, less is more. Gone are the days when car manufacturers would boast about the size of their products. The more miles an automobile can get to the gallon, the better.
The ads depict various vehicles in a squished, compacted form speeding down the street swiftly despite their diminutive size. Not only do these promotions immediately grab one's attention, they cleanly communicate the advantages of a Volkswagen car.
It's not necessarily difficult to create a shocking, jarring ad in order to turn heads and catch eyes. Still, such advertising runs the risk of vagueness. If a potential customer doesn't know what the ad is promoting, how are they encouraged to buy the product or service?
