Yyellowbird (a.k.a. Cari Wayman) has a unique finish and feel to all of her photos that is very vintage.
She has routinely posted her works on Flickr over the past few years, and clothing chain Aritzia scooped her up to be their featured artist for spring 2009.
Yyellowbird's posted images are a hit all over the Internet and have been cited and re-posted over the vast blogosphere.
Implications - Although there has been an embrace of technologies that help to eliminate body hair, there is surge of hair-embracing products as well. Human hair is considered a taboo topic, and therefore very intriguing for a business to tackle. Businesses who can touch taboo topics make themselves newsworthy and appealing to curious consumers.
