Viet Huynh Uses Engaging Typography for His Redesign of JAQK Wine

Design student Viet Huynh was given the challenge of redesigning an assortment of wine labels for the Napa Valley Collection of JAQK Cellars. The Californian wine company is known for the compelling illustrations that normally adorn the company's bottles. However, the assignment required Huynh and his classmates to focus solely on typography. Huynh was left with the complex problem of staying true to the brand's established look while trying to make text the primary focus of his design.

The result of Viet Huynh's efforts features bold white letters announcing the type of wine housed inside. The words are written in a jumbled vertical fashion. The hue of the bottle and the beverage inside act as eye-catching backdrops to the simple text-based design.
