The seat has been designed by the Sweden-based furniture brand as a simple piece that will work well at a workstation by encouraging the person to sit up straight. The chair is crafted with a solid oak and birch wood base, and paired with a piece of vegetable-tanned leather sourced from the Tärnsjö Tannery. This leather upper will undulate against the body when sat on to help the body feel less constricted.
The Verk Stool can be easily collapsed when not in use to save space and is left unfinished for a natural appearance. The stool is priced at around $300.
