Flipboard is an app that allows users to accumulate content from their favorite blogs, online publications and social streams, so that they can create a personalized magazine. In a move to improve its content curation, the company has acquired Ultravisual, a storytelling start up.

Ultravisual is an app that allows users to edit and share visual and video content. With a shared vision of presenting content in a visually appealing manner, the two companies will form a beautiful marriage.

The union will improve Flipboard's public curation, meaning that individuals, as well as brands and publishers, will be able to create digital magazines and presentations, easily and efficiently. Not only will Ultravisual contibute polished interfaces and expert visual engineering; they will also offer a "deep understanding of how people collaborate."
