Just as we’ve had fake celebrity Facebook profiles and Twitter accounts - now we have real celebrity “Tweeps” and video footage from the Oscars.

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, “the most prolific Oscar Twitters,” have posted several videos using online video provider Qik - one of P Diddy dancing to Prince with an Oscar (it’s very blurry!), and another of Ashton and Moore at home before the party, looking very domestic. Reading the fans’ comments in response to this video was very interesting.

P Diddy’s Oscar Tweeps included, “I’m holding an oscar rt now and takin a bubble bath!!!! God is great!!! Let’s go people.”

How liberating it must be for Twittering celebs to bypass the paparazzi and directly engage with their fans in the Twittersphere!

Twitter is changing the way people relate to stars; celebs more seem more 'real' to people. They see that they do ordinary things, hang out with friends and can rant and get excited just like the rest of us. Neat!

I love following Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore. Kutcher likes to post the Twitter names of other celebs and brag that they're bypassing/thwarting the paparazzi. One night, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, the kids, and Bruce Willis all went out to dinner and Kutcher took questions for Willis during dinner via Twitter. He actually answered them, too!

Now the celebs become the Pap. Strange. @Jane Fonda is also Tweeting about her being back on Broadway. Very down-to-earth, her blog is too.

What I like about web2.0 is that we also get to see a more human side to these celebrities, that is not usually seen before. I love the fact they have complete control over how they deliver the message to their fans too - ie. it's less controlled and "styled" and much more natural. I have alot more respect for them - because I feel I can relate to them ... go Twitter!
