In July 2010, Twitter launched the @earlybird account on their site, offering some of the best deals and promotions to its followers. In a recent collaboration with Walt Disney Studios, the @earlybird account presented Disney fans in the United States with discounted tickets to ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.’
Twitter hopes to use this account to promote the deals and discounts of advertising partners and develop new partnerships. As Twitter launched the @earlybird account, they fused shopping with social media, generating more revenue as the referrals to their partner sites increased.
