Toy Stories by Aled Lewis is a series of photographs that feature tiny animal figurines throwing out witty anecdotes. It’s amazing how a speech bubble and the positioning of the toys really brings these photos to life.

Even massive mammals have teenage angst, which can be seen as an elephant mother tells her hormonal woolly mammoth son to get a haircut. He responds with “Shut up mom!” as he storms out of the picture. However, it’s not just tusked mammals that have problems. Just look at the piñata who is depressed because people hurt him for being different. Don’t worry little guy, because people don’t hurt you for being different, but because you have candy inside you.

Playtime comes to life in Toy Stories by Aled Lewis.
