A new Tough Mudder obstacle is set to be designed with the help of fans as a means to push the limits of its brave competitors even further.
The unconventional endurance challenge has proven immensely successful over the years, making itself into a $100 million business by changing the way that competitive races were done. Rather than having participants compare themselves to one another, the goal for any competitor is simply to complete the course. Doing so however is no easy feat, with the company including everything from barbed wire, ice cold water, electricity and pools of mud as just a few of the Tough Mudder obstacles to get through.
In order to bring its latest extreme obstruction to life, the company invites anyone to submit ideas outlining their plan, complete with drawings and explanations. Though it's the first time that a Tough Mudder obstacle has been designed through directly asking for input from fans, the company has always been open to accepting advice from its participants on-site -- which prompted it to create a more streamlined and inclusive method.
