This timeless wooden stool was designed in the hope of being a symbol for unity and bringing society together.
Designed by Richard Yasmine, the 'Calibre 32' is a symbol that is meant "to urge people to unite despite different religions, communities, mentalities and doctrines keep the wheel moving to improve." The wheel symbolizes the shape that is meant to keep moving as part of society.
The stool is comprised of 32 differently sized wood pieces formed together using special joining techniques. The piece is based on horology -- meaning that it uses the study of time as an influence as well as ancient Lebanese civilization. This timeless furniture is a piece that melds different structures, materials, patterns and shapes to become one element.
