Those Dancing Days is Sweden's Next Big Band

Never has Stockholm, Sweden sounded so good.  Although the ladies of Those Dancing Days share their origin with the likes of indie cult gods like Lykke Li, Robyn and Peter Bjorn and John, they offer a unique serving light-hearted pop tunes that will make you want to, well, dance.

Those Dancing Days is made up of five young girls (only two of whom are old enough to have completed high school thus far). Linnea Jönsson is the curly-haired lead singer, Lisa Pyk Wirström supports her with cheerful organ melodies and fun riffs are provided by Rebecka Rolfart on guitar and Mimmi Evrell on bass. The body-moving beat of it all is provided by Cissi Efraimsson on the drums.

Watch out for these girls. They’ve been getting a lot of recognition, including features in NME, MTV2 and a nomination for the Best Swedish Act prize at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
