The days of printing PDF documents and faxing them back to their sender may be over for good thanks to the SoftSign app. The ingenious app lets you sign your signature onto a PDF or JPEG document on touchscreen devices using your finger or a stylus.

The SoftSign app does away with the hassle that is long-distance document signing. No more need for notaries or fax machines as all documents signed onscreen are watermarked and accepted in most jurisdictions as valid. The only fee associated with using the app is a one-time amount of $5 if you ever choose to remove the watermark from your document. The app is out now for iOS devices, with an Android version in the works. Stats for Onscreen Signature Apps Trending: Older & Chilly
