'The Remix Project' is a sustainable initiative from Canadian brand Native Shoes that aims to repurpose well-loved Native Shoes into new playground flooring. By the end of the year, the brand is hoping to collect 10,000 pairs of its shoes and in the process, reward participants with a 10% discount that can be put towards a brand-new pair of shoes.
For the project, Native Shoes will be working with the Vancouver Park Board to determine the areas of the city that would best benefit from this initiative. As of next summer, the first playground using the repurposed materials is expected to be open.
