'Reputable' Sources Spreading Lies on the Internet - Wikipedia Posts Rumor of Sinbad's Death

The power of the Internet does some amazing things. A rumor started over the weekend about Sinbad the comedian (not the sailor) had died at the age of 50 from a heart attack. Most of you might not know him, he hasn’t done anything noteworthy since starring in “A Different World” with Kadeem Hardison and Lisa Bonet. Several websites and blogs published it asking if there was any truth to the rumor. The stories spread like wildfire, which prompted Wikipedia to publish that he had indeed passed away. Turns out he’s fine, it’s just his career that’s dead.
For those who have been inundated with e-mails about the supposed death of comedian Sinbad from a heart attack, just hit delete on those correspondences, as the news is 100 percent not true. “That was a vicious rumor, I don’t know where it came from, but it started last weekend,”
