The Lazy Teapot - Pouring Tea Made Easy

It doesn’t get any easier to make tea than with the Lazy Teapot designed by Lotte Alpert for Yanko Design. This would be an excellent product for elderly folks or those who have motor or muscle funtion problems. I mean how many times is grandma gonna spill that steaming hot pot of tea in your lap on Sunday afternoons because her arthritis is acting-up? However the controls look a little too high-tech for the novice electronic tea maker, but otherwise the space-age design is very sleek and cool. Now grandma can pour her tea with the push of a finger.
A porcelain teapot is put in its associated holding device where it can be swayed forward well, directed so that the tea can be easily poured into a cup without having to lift the teapot. Furthermore the holding device is able to boil up the liquid in the teapot and to keep it warm precisely on different temperatures. The measured temperatures are read at the diodes in the region of the operational controls and compared with the temperature that was manually chosen.
