This crib is not really designed with barbed wire. It just looks like it. The design is supposed to mimic and make light of the physical restraints and many spatial limitations that human beings create to limit mobility. The x shaped motif is supposed to encourage the babies to stay in the crib. How? I don’t know. Maybe by messing with their visual perception?

Anyway, this crib, designed by John Greg Ball, is gender-blind as far as color as it is intended for both girls and boys.

I can see the correlation can't you... a crib looks like a jail cell... Anyway, about time someone made an artistic crib.
