 Pachamama ‘Eclipse’ Leather Rugs Look Like River Rocks Published: Jan 27, 09 Comments: 1 Views: 3,709 Circles of fine Italian leather create these chic area rugs by Pachamama. The pieces in the collection called ‘Eclipse’ are modern, stylish and have a three-dimensional effect. The black version looks like flattened wet river rocks. Pachamama describes their circular floor covers this way: “There is something intrinsically divine and perfect about the circle, an almost magical geometrical form, with no beginning and no end, chosen by nature to shape nearly everything in the universe: heavenly bodies, planets, stars and galaxies.” As usual, I’m thinking practically—too many crevasses for dirt to gather and the standard waxy protective treatments for leather would make for an extremely slippery surface.
