Spanish ceramics company Tau Cerámica collaborated with inventor Pep Torres to create these infernal Diet Floor Tiles, which have weight sensors and a CPU that controls different parameters. They can even detect individual people that are in their database and record their activity. It can also be personalized to shout different messages according to the person on top.

My imagination is running wild with possibilities and scenarios of its use. It can be used by parents to monitor and shout at their kids who are on a diet but spend too much time in front of the fridge (Stop eating fatso!). What about your boss who can monitor which employees are spending too much time around the water cooler or in the kitchen (Go back to work lazy ass).

Jokes aside, in a serious implementation, these tiles can be used in security-sensitive companies to monitor which employees are/were in a certain place and at what time whenever a security breach happens.
