'The Wanderer' series from Zach Johnsen looks like "Alice in Wonderland," crossed with "Where the Wild Things Are" on hard drugs. It really is brilliantly bizarre.
The pieces are made from mixed media on plywood and are a result of the artist's desire to bring his wooden characters to life outside the constraints of a gallery environment.
Johnsen went to great lengths to try and ensure the scenes he captured on camera were similar to how they appear in person. As you can see, the results are awesome.
