Lockheed Martin's Supersonic Green Machine

By: Katie Cordrey - Published: Jun 30, 2010 • References: & dailymail
This supersonic green machine is a concept from a design team led by the Lockheed Martin Corporation. The future aircraft design concept is for supersonic flight over land that doesn’t create the loud sonic booms that people have found so objectionable from other aircraft like the commercial Concorde.

The idea for the inverted-V engine aircraft was presented to NASA in April 2010. With some luck, and funding, the supersonic green machine concept may become reality by 2035. Stats for Quiet Supersonic Planes Trending: Older & Buzzing
