For the uninitiated, sporks are essentially a combination of forks and spoons in that they blend the sharp prongs of a fork with the curved bowl shape of a spoon. The Kuma spork is an oval-shaped stainless steel iteration of the humble spork that is designed for camping trips and outdoor adventures where you really want to minimize how much stuff you have to carry around.

The Kuma sporks look like regular spoons minus the handle and with fork prongs on one end where the handle would be. To use it as a spoon, you hold on to the flattened pronged end and use the spoon-shaped scooping end to pick up food and liquid.

The Kuma sporks will be made available in a number of colors, and you can even pick up a protective travel pouch for it.

The Kuma is currently the subject of a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, which its designers hope will raise enough money to bring the product to market. A pledge of $10 will get you your very own Kuma spork, with shipping expected to commence in June 2015.
