The Netherlands’ biggest building De Rotterdam is also set to be one of its most innovative, as it will contain apartments that use multi-purpose furniture that can be folded and molded to fit different uses. The building was designed to function as a vertical city, so designer Clei Italia decided to design furniture that would lend itself to this philosophy.

The transformable furniture will be included to lend versatility to apartment spaces and make it easy for them to be used for a variety of purposes. Desks are hooked up to the wall so that when unfolded, the wall turns into a bed. Elegant wall art can be lifted off the walls and unfolded to function as chairs.

Artistry, functionality and comfort all in one. Like they say -- if you ain’t Dutch, you ain’t much.
