There's one telecommunications application software that has helped bridge the gap between friends and family who live in different cities and now the release of Skype Translator takes such communication to the next level. The natural evolution of traditional pen pal relationships, Skype Translator allows for real-time translation so that people from different parts of the world can communicate with each other in their native language.

A preview of Skype Translator was recently revealed, showing an English classroom communicating with a Mexican one. Although not officially available yet, people interested in trying out Skype Translator for themselves can request an invite at Microsoft’s Skype site. In the meantime, watching the preview shows just how useful and easy this new application is. The world is getting smaller by the minute.
