To accept his Swarovski Womenswear Designer of the Year Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Alexander Wang opted to wear his suit with shorts rather than full pants.

While it may seem like a moment of fashion rebellion, no detail was spared in this outfit. The shorts were from Comme des Garcons and made of black sateen, his white shirt was from Band of Outsiders, and he finished the look with a vintage black Helmut Lang tuxedo jacket.
