The Shield Tablet is a new, gaming-centric portable device developed by Nvidia. The device is intended to function as a go-to portable device for gamers, and even supports its own specially designed controller.

A high-quality display is a key component of any tablet, especially one intended for gaming, and the Shield Tablet doesn't disappoint. It offers a 1920 x 1200 resolution on its 8-inch LCD display.

Its core components include an Nvidia Tegra K1 mobile processor. The chip features 192 dedicated graphics cores that use the same architecture seen in Nvidia's GeForce GTX graphics cards.

In addition to being able to stream games from a local PC, Nvidia's Shield Tablet will also be capable of recording and streaming gameplay. Being an Android tablet, it will also allow for access to the Google Play Store and all the apps and mobile games offered there.
