The Smarty Ring was first introduced last year, and it's just received an update with scrolling display.
Wearers of the Smarty Ring can both control their smartphone through the jewelry, as well as receive notifications. On average people check their phones up to 150 times a day. To make this process that much more accessible, the makers took out the hassle of grabbing a smartphone from a wallet or bag, and put it where customers could see it. Now with scrolling display, the ring can show more information in a more timely manner.
From Google glasses to rings such as this, wearable tech is certainly becoming a more promising option for consumers in the future.
