Girl+ is a safety app designed for women that helps them to quickly get help if they feel that they are in danger. There are several ways that a woman can go about this, including pressing a panic button that will emit a loud, high-pitched sound if they feel threatened, or a button that will call and connect them to the women trafficking hotline. Rather than wearing a whistle or having to carry around some sort of weapon for protection, once downloaded, this app takes over as the phone's lock screen, serving as a quick and low-key way for females to call out for help if needed.

As well as these features that could potentially be life-saving, the app also has content to empower women in other ways. Lock screen notifications provide women with links to articles on safety, empowerment, as well as career opportunities to further inspire.
