 'Reflect' Illuminates Whoever is Dominating Conversation Published: Jun 29, 08 Comments: 1 Views: 2,228 Reflect is a meeting table system that shows who’s dominating the conversation by monitoring the sound levels of people’s conversations. Reflect visualizes the current state of the conversation via arrays of color LEDs. The design of Reflect is non-invasive. Participants do not need to wear any special equipment or even microphones, it’s all embedded in the board. They can carry on their conversation regularly. The LED feedback system is simple and cost-effective. It is purposely intended not to be an expensive hi-resolution display, as not to detract attention and be counter productive. This would be better if they used regular bulbs. It might clue people in to the fact that they talk too much if the custodial staff is constantly getting requests to change the bulb for one seat in particular. |
