Red Fleshed Apples

Swiss experts have ‘bred’ a yet un-named species of apple with a vibrant red flesh. It was discovered in the quest for healthier fruit (healthier fruit?) and earlier tests do indeed suggest this apple is high in antioxidants.

Implications - The advancement of today's technology has made for innovations in even the strangest of realms, from cuisine to computers. As exemplified by the development of this new kind of apple, even nature's gifts are no longer entirely natural, with scientists developing hybrid species of fruit. Though developments such as these are helpful, the technology takeover cannot be ignored, and will serve as a cautionary tale to those within various industries to always be on the lookout for new technological or scientific developments.
