Want a 3G iPhone? This video shows the tremendous patience, discipline and desire you’ll need to be one of the first Apple fans to get your hands on one. The clip was shot outside of the Apple store on 5th Avenue in New York City on July 6, and suspected to break the world record for waiting in line to make a purchase. Considering was this filmed a week before the 3G release date, the line is sure to still grow dramatically.

“Plus, a scrappy half-dozen activists who call themselves Waiting for Apples are going to get all the positive press,” Cnet says. “They’re hoping to set a Guinness World Record as well as spread the buzz about sustainable agriculture, and are waiting in line with a solar-power generator, a bunch of yoga mats, a compost bin full of hungry worms, a soundtrack of the Talking Heads’ More Songs About Buildings And Food, and an adorable six-month-old.”
