The Rebecca Human Project for Human Rights has already taken down Craiglist’s “Erotic Section” page and is moving onto its next initiative: taking down Backpages.com, which has now become the U.S.' largest online sexual marketplace.
Last month, The Rebecca Project ran shocking ads in Village Voice Media-owned papers featuring a man holding a sign stating, “I paid for sex with a 14-year-old child I found on Backpage.” The ad was based on an actual situation involving a real 14-year old girl, who is now suing her own pimp from Missouri for the underage trafficking aid in Backpages.com.
