Talented mixed media artist Kelly Thompson is turning nerd haters into nerd lovers. It is no wonder her collection showing at the Gorker Gallery is entitled, “Bookworms Never Go to Bed!”

Her illustrations depict different guys and gals all with thick, black-rimmed glasses and are brimming with fine details--so much so that you can even see flyaway hairs!

Implications - Nerds have definitely made a comeback and with so much attention being put on nerds, it's hard not to embrace the nerd culture. Businesses that use the idea of stereotypes in a tasteful manner within their advertising will definitely gain consumer attention whether they are a part of that particular stereotype or just admire it.
