'Power Styling' Book Reveals Space-Age Concepts to Beautify the Grid

Some ideas never go out of style and that is why the recently reported Power Styling book that was commissioned by United States Steel in the 1960’s is creating a buzz. The little-known corporate art publication has some (still) futuristic takes on how to beautify the electrical grid.

The ideas in Power Styling are worth a look as we move to smart grid technology. Some of them are over-the-top designs that don’t quite meet the goal of making the visual impact of power delivery less objectionable, but they may serve as inspiration for even more futuristic concepts.
