Fans of the game Fallout will find this DIY Pipboy 3000 to be one of the more advanced homages to the video game that can actually be created at home. The device is housed in a 3D-printed enclosure that fits over the forearm just like the real deal from the post-apocalyptic video game.

Using a Raspberry Pi mini PC, the Pipboy 3000 armband is capable of packing map data and more onto the screen embedded into the device. With full instructions on how to make the device from scratch available on Adafruit, the device helps to bring a video game to life with a variety of neat features. A complete list of the components required for the DIY project can be found over at the Adafruit tutorial.
