This next-generation Panasonic Blu-Ray player, unveiled at CES 2015, is capable of providing full 4K resolution playback at an impressive frame rate of 60 fps. It is intended to support next-generation video technologies that are expected to be incorporated into upcoming Ultra HD Blu-Ray standards.

This player can provide 100 Megabytes per second high-bit rate playback at a crystal-clear 3,840 x 2,160 resolution. It is equipped with BT.2020, a technology that greatly improves color reproduction, as well as High Dynamic Range. Together, these toys help expand peak brightness, allowing for better texturing of bright light sources and reflected light.

Since the Panasonic Blu-Ray Player is a prototype, there is no news yet regarding when it will be available to consumers and how much it may cost. However, Panasonic says it is working to further develop the product and bring it to market.
